The herbs that are included in your daily intake are VERY mild. I wish they were more powerful and could heal you in a couple of days ... but it's not going to happen. Nature has its own pace that we must adhere to.
Because of this mildness, it is crucial for you to make a pretty large sacrifice ... at least for a couple of months. To the best of your abilities, you must cut out, or at least lessen the intake of as many RLS triggers as you possibly can. This includes caffeine, sugar, msg, gluten, salt, aspartame, red meat, dairy and recreational drugs. You need to cut out alcohol consumption during this period as well. For detailed information about foods that would be advisable to avoid, and others can help you in the recovery process, visit the web page The Inflammation Factor (IF) Rating of Foods It may sound impossible to many of you. However, we're not talking about FOREVER ... it's only for a few months in order to give your body the type of ENVIRONMENT it needs to heal the inflammation that is causing your restless legs. Continuing to consume these RLS triggers will result in further irritation of the existing inflammation. Drinking coffee, taking drugs, consuming alcohol, eating potato chips etc. is the equivalent of having a sunburn and standing out in the sunshine, waiting for the sunburn to fade away. Metaphorically, you have to stay indoors for awhile, in order to allow your sunburn to heal. Once your inflammation has lessened, it will be business as usual. But, for the first while, it is ABSOLUTELY CRUCIAL that you allow the herbs to heal you unhindered. It is definitely worth the short term discomfort! |
